These test strips provide a rapid and easy measure of the MEC to enable optimal reuse of CIDEX OPA Solution for high-level disinfection.

The ortho-phthalaldehyde concentration of CIDEX OPA Solution during its use-life must be verified by the CIDEX OPA Solution Test Strips prior to each use to determine the MEC of 0.3% is present.

CIDEX OPA Solution is reusable for up to 14 days when monitored with CIDEX OPA Solution Test Strips.

1. To verify the efficacy of CIDEX OPA Solution, ASP recommends testing for the minimum effective concentration (MEC) prior to each use
2. 1 second dip time
3. 90 seconds read time
4. Pad will be completely PURPLE to indicate effective solution
5. If ANY BLUE remains on the pad apart from the top line, solution is ineffective and must be discarded
